The model is complete. But now goes the painting.

Danube Class Runabout (Star Trek)
January 25, 2018 @ 11:34At the turn of the the New Year there was a challenge issued in one of the model groups to build a very large model.
My entry is a 1/35 scratchbuilt Star Trek shuttle most commonly seen in the Deep Space Nine series. As it stands right now the interior and lighting have been completed and the exterior portions are ready to begin.
Hetzer Group Build
December 1, 2017 @ 11:57So the local modeling club has decided to produce a group entry for the IPMS show in 2018. The idea is to use the Hetzer (A funny little German tank from WWII) and convert it to a TV or movie theme.
I elected to create a shuttle craft from each of the two best known science fiction franchises.
Mi-8 Helicopter (1/35, Cubana colors)
September 3, 2017 @ 16:14I quite enjoy these larger helicopter kits. They allow the builder to open the doors and really show off a lot of detail. Most of the engine detail and all of the transmission section are scratchbuilt.
The interior received considerable extra detail as well.
Gunship update
February 16, 2017 @ 20:04Work on the gunship continues to move forward with much more of the exterior and almost all of the interior completed. I also made a considerable investment in scratchbuilding; I bought a CNC cutter. It allows a user to easily produce numerous, repeatable parts in any sheet material. In this case, .015″ styrene plastic.
The cockpit section and interior paint also received a lot of effort and near completion.
Star Wars Gunship, February Update
February 5, 2017 @ 08:57It’s beginning to take shape and actually look like what it’s meant to be. I was also able to get some of the big pieces of the cockpit completed which need to be done before the ship can be fully enclosed with plastic sheet.
Star Wars Gunship
January 26, 2017 @ 12:50I had so much fun building my previous Star Wars ships that I’ve decide to make one more, the Republic gunship from Attack of the clones. As with the other two models, this will be built from scratch in 1/35.
